Burns Park, N. Little Rock, AR

We’ve been staying at Burns Park Campground here in Little Rock, AR for about a week now. The park is located along and on both sides of I-40 so it’s very easy to get to. The noise from I-40 is minimal here in the campground, which is full of trees so most sites are shaded. There are a few full hook up sites, but most have just water and electric with picnic tables and fire rings. The dump station is easily accessible and there are several bathrooms strategically located in the park. Everyone is very friendly.

Dan’s played a couple rounds of disc golf on the two courses located in this 1700 acre park. There are also a couple ball golf courses, foot golf, a Funland Park with rides for the kids, tennis courts, soccer fields, hiking and biking trails for your enjoyment, lots of picnic areas and places to explore. I’m told the river bike trail stretches for about 36 miles along the Arkansas river if you’re up for it.

All in all a great park to stay in while exploring Little Rock. We’ve enjoyed visiting with our friends that live here and hope to come back again.

Where to from here? Hot Springs, AR. The campground in Hot Springs will be our first experience at a first come, first served campground. We’ll let you know in our next blog how that works out for us. Till then, travel safe.
